Prior to co-founding EVE Partners, Mr. Schickel served as CFO/COO of ATC Logistics, Inc., a privately-held conglomerate with numerous businesses serving the automotive industry supply chain. While in this capacity, Mr. Schickel executed a bottom-up operational restructuring that resulted in a 325% increase in operating cash flow. He completed numerous debt financings, several acquisitions and divestitures and a private equity placement to support the growth of AMLI, ATC’s international port processing divisions, which sold in 2007 for $430 million. From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Schickel worked in the Investment Banking department of Interstate/Johnson Lane, a publicly-traded broker dealer (now Wachovia Securities). While at IJL, Mr. Schickel represented public and private companies in a wide variety of merger and acquisition and financing transactions. Mr. Schickel has advised clients on more than 65 mergers and acquisitions in the transportation and logistics industry, with total value in excess of $5 billion, and has raised over $4 billion in IPO, follow-on and private financing. He maintains extensive relationships within the transportation and logistics industry, as well as the venture capital, private equity and finance communities, and chairs the finance committee of the board of directors for the London-based Global Institute of Logistics. Further, through EVE Holdings, LLC, Mr. Schickel is an investor in numerous transportation and logistics companies and continues to be an active co-investor with EVE’s clients. Mr. Schickel is a graduate of the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science and Masters degree in accounting. He is married and has three children. |
